These items are used for die board transfer, storage and retrieval to from SCHWABE cutting press or system. Although the press has an expected lifespan, of 25-30 years, this auxiliary equipment will probably never be replaced!
The height must accommodate the width of the dies (usually either 66” or 74”), and the depth must accommodate the lengths of the dies. Die Racks usually contain either 10 die boards or 20 die boards.

The length of the die rack is determined by your longest die, which for handling reasons will not exceed 21’ (6.5m).
Each die slot in the die rack is usually allocated to a specific die and labeled as such, including color to indicate program and/or trim style.
Properly balanced transfer carts allow a single worker to slide the die in and out of the vertical die rack and on/off of the horizontal roller tables.

A full size (74” x 21’), die loaded with up to 20 layers of material usually weighs about 350-450 lbs depending on the amount of steel contained in the cavities.
