Schwabe - "Rebuild / Remanufacture" Process 

With a Schwabe “Rebuild/Remanufacture” process, the Press Machines is completely disassembled and inspected.  

Every component is either repaired or replacement of worn out or obsolete components or modules.  

Parts subject to degradation that may impact the performance or the expected life of the Press Machine is replaced.  

Schwabe also replaces with new any component or part that is deemed obsolete for easier sourcing in the future should the need arise.

Common Steps taken in every Schwabe 28 Point “Rebuild/Remanufacture” Press Machine:

• Weldments Cleaned, Inspected, Primed and Painted with fresh coat of Schwabe Green Paint

• Large Center Guide Inspection and evaluation for original engineering assembly tolerances; new bearings and retainers

• Moving Platen cleaned, inspected.  Primed and Painted with fresh coat of safety orange color.  Aligned to Press Machine Weldments per original design

• Every Hydraulic Unit is cleaned, inspected and pressure tested thoroughly to withstand even the most challenging production requirements. 

• New Hydraulic Valves installed as needed. 

• New Hydraulic Cooling Unit added for 24/7 capability; application dependent

• New Hydraulic Hoses with JIC fittings

• Electrical Panel upgraded to current Allen Bradley (or Siemens) PLC controls with Ethernet Capability

• All Drives, Servo Motors, Wiring, Relays, Switches, etc. are New

• Feed System is disassembled, cleaned and inspected.

• New Schwabe Green Paint on Material In-feed and Out-feed System

• Evaluation completed and based upon Options chosen for the Material Feed System, Parts could be all New, or a combination of New and Rebuild/Remanufactured.

• Feed System Bearings are always New

• Conveyor Belts for Material In-feed or Out-feed are New

• If “On-Belt” Cutting, the  Nylon or Urethane Belt are New

• If “On-Pad” Cutting, the Pad Assembly complete with new Maple Block is New

• New OSHA Compliant Safety Guarding; complete with Electrical Safety Interlocks

• New Head Safety Block for working under the Moving Platen

• New Air Safety Shut-off Valve

• New OSHA (or UL or CE) signage

• New material Transition Plates; application dependent

• New Control Panel Face Plate

• New Press Machine Signage Complete

• Updated Electrical and Hydraulic Schematics included

• 80 hours continuous Run-Time for Internal QC Testing
