Envelope and Paper

Die Cutting Hydraulic Presses and Automated Systems

Envelope Die Cutting requires specialized machines that can handle high stacks of paper and a print registration system that ensures proper alignment of die cut to printing.

Freeman Schwabe Machinery has three systems that effectively cut envelopes.

The first is totally automatic and has 3-axis control for the die. X and Y position the die and the third axis rotates the die for nesting.

The second and third machines are manual/semi automatic presses that typically cut the corners from a stack of material.

All presses can be equipped with die lubrication devices, specialized clamping, and ejection systems .

Model EA CNC 3-Axis Automatic Paper & Envelope Hydraulic Die Cutting Press

CNC 3 Axis Automatic Paper Envelope Hydraulic Press

The EA Envelope press combines the proven technology of the industry standard Traveling Head Press, and the Numerical Control Technology of the Machine Tool Industry.

This machine commonly cuts with a number 10 envelope die, cutting a nested pattern into a lay-up of printed or blank paper. The X, Y, and rotational positioning of the die is completely computer controlled.

Machine programming is accomplished on the machine by a real time positioning of the actual die onto the material. All clamping, oiling, and positioning functions are performed in real time and saved in the computer. Each individual program is independently editable.

Once programmed the operator place the paper on the bed of the press and pushes the start button. When the press is finished the operator unloads the cut part from the cut part table, the cycle then continues.

Model EM Envelope Manual Traveling head Press

Envelope TH EM Press

The EM Envelope Cutting Press combines the proven technology of the industry standard Traveling Head Press, and the simple operation and controls of a manual press.
This press commonly uses a four-corner die that cuts the corners off a stack of paper creating an envelope. Front and Rear scrap conveyors assist the operator in keeping a clean work area.
The basic operation of placing a stack of material on the press bed and pushing the start button makes this a simple press to operate.

Model RH Receding Head / Beam Hydraulic Die Cutting Press

receding beam press machinerb

The RH (receding head press) allows a larger format of the four-corner die cutting surface. This press combines the larger format with a magnetic die head, allowing a faster set up compared to the four-corner die with tie rod setup.

Using a paper pattern to position the dies, and laser guides for the material, setup is a snap!

Faster set up, front scrap conveyor and rear scrap paper removal, make this press 4 times faster than traditional Hobbs 4 corner cutting systems.
