Large Area Beam Presses

The basic building block of our large area beam presses is the Freeman Schwabe SR straight ram hydraulic series. Simplicity of design, versatility of application, high performance and power make the Schwabe SR series the workhorse of your industry.These presses are designed and built with a minimum number of moving parts for low maintenance.

The Freemans Schwabe Model SR is an extremely rugged press with reinforced construction of robust weldments. It is built for easy and rapid set-up and can feature side die loading capability, thereby minimizing die changeover time.

The Freeman Schwabe large area beam presses are the heart of so many industries and serve in the greatest variety of applications. From aerospace, automobile, packaging, textile, electronic and recreation industries to gasket, furniture, luggage and handbag, Freeman Schwabe die cutting machinery excels at meeting all your die cutting requirements.

As an aid to your operations, these presses can be equipped with die data storage systems to allow the operator to recall stored information such as feed length, production requirements, sheet or roll sensing, etc. Diagnostic information can also be displayed for trouble-shooting, and there is optional printer interface capability. We recently introduced a new large area 2,500 ton press, approximately eighteen (18) feet long by six (6) feet wide, for die cutting automotive materials, particularly tri-laminates. Material loaded onto an 18' dieboard will be cut in one stroke.

The Freeman Schwabe Model RC Roller Presses are built for the rigors of a demanding industrial environment. Model RC Roller Press offers an economical solution when you require higher die cutting pressure due to a great number of linear inches of die rule. These presses are ideal for composite materials and gaskets, as well as for the packaging industry, particularly when cutting skin or blister pack material. Freeman Schwabe roller presses can be equipped with outfeed tables with lateral transfer capability (allowing one die to be unloaded while another is being prepared).

Model specifications range from bed widths of 64" to 120", depths of 20" to 40", head sizes from 20 x 20" to 40 x 40" or more and pressures from 15 to 125 tons or more. Model RC Presses are available with a variety of feed systems such as roll, clamp, belt and sliding tables. Optional features include oscillating cutting surface, vacuum slug removal, "kiss cutting" capability, 360º rotating head, and turret head with four axis CNC control system for multi-die handling capability. Nesting software is also available and can be integrated with the press controls for the most efficient material utilization.
